Diploma in Dialysis Technology is the diploma certificate course that trains the students on the various skills related to dialysis technology. The course provides a basic level of understanding of dialysis skills and treatments. The students are equipped with basic knowledge and required skills to carry out the procedure of dialysis on the patients. The main aim of the course is to provide a basic understanding of the dialysis technology domain and also give them theoretical knowledge about the techniques involved in dialysis.

The course also aims at preparing nurses who can make independent decisions in nursing situations, protect the rights and facilitate individual and groups in pursuit of health, function in hospital, community Health Nursing services, and conduct research studies in the areas of nursing practice. They are also expected to assume role of teacher, supervisor, and manager in clinical or public health setting.

The course training is a skill-based accreditation for beginners in the field of dialysis therapeutic support. Students learn the fundamental skills and information required to operate dialysis equipment on a patient. Students can increase their knowledge and abilities in the long run in the appropriate domain by pursuing higher-level certification. The purpose of the DDT course is to educate students with domain-specific knowledge skills and a fundamental comprehension of theoretical concepts.

Eligibility:

  • Each student must pass 10+2 examinations from the science stream from a recognised state or Central Board.
  • The interested candidates must score a minimum percentage of 50 marks (general category), or 50 marks (reserved category) in their 10+2 examinations to apply for the Diploma course.
  • The candidates must have studied Physics as well as chemistry in their 11+12 standard. Also, the students must be well known in Biology or Mathematics of 12th standard.
  • The candidate must have completed 17 years of age and must be less than 25 years of age at the time of joining the course.
